Please check the Kaaring List and ID Lists to verify your horses are listed with the correct kaaring level.

Quality Blood - the credit point system:
Making art and keeping your Nordanner active may earn you the proud title "Quality Blood".
To become Quality Blood, your Nordanner must gain 15 points using the system below:

:bulletred: How to count points: [link] :bulletred:

:bulletpurple: One registration picture, colored, headshot or full body: 1 point*
*Note! Needed to gain points!!

:bulletpurple: Uncolored art: 0.5 points
Includes digital sketches, pencil drawings, charcoal shaded art, uncolored greyscales etc, full body or headshot are the same.

:bulletpurple: Headshots, colored: 0.5 points
Includes show entries, training, detailed headshots as well as fast colored headshots.

:bulletpurple: Full body, colored, no or plain backgrounds: 1 point
Full body means that more of the body must be shown than the part hiding. So full body shows atleast 2/3 of the horse, depending on the angle drawn. With plain background we refer to solid colored background, abstract texture background or transparent backgrounds with drop shadows etc.

:bulletpurple: Full body, colored, painted backgrounds: 2 points
Full body means that more of the body must be shown than the part hiding. So full body shows atleast 2/3 of the horse, depending on the angle drawn. With painted background we refer to an actual background created by the artist him-/herself, such as showing horse in the paddock, on riding arena etc.

:bulletpurple: Show entries OR training images OR Dragon tack images: +1 points
By +1 we mean you add it to the base scoring. So full body art show entry with bg is 2+1 points.
For training we ONLY count images where a handler and/or rider is visible, partial body accepted. Any where you do not see handler/rider will not be accepted no matter what, cause we want it to be very clear what is training and what is not. So freejumping only counts if handler is shown on the ground etc.

:bulletpurple: Show placings:
Special Show Titles: Champion, Reserve Champion, Best in Show, Judge's Choice etc: +1 points
1st place: 3 points
2nd place: 2 points
3rd place: 1 points
4th+ place: 0.5 points
Must be officially placed. If you don't know the exact place you don't get the points!
Import hunts and major official events like dragon hunts etc count same as a normal show.

:bulletpurple: Animations: +2 points
Example: full body art with no bg + being animated = 3 points

:bulletpurple: Purebred offspring reaching "Quality Blood" status: 2 points
:bulletpurple: Purebred offspring reaching "Excellent Blood" status: 3 points
Includes direct offspring, great grand offsprings etc.

:bulletpurple: Each parent in liniage with "Quality Blood" status: 2 points
:bulletpurple: Each parent in liniage with "Excellent Blood" status: 3 points
Example: Sire, dam and grand sire being quality blood, foal get 6 points.

:bulletpurple: Photo backgrounds, premade lineart and other types of stock made by you or others: 0 points

Art rules:
Both digital and traditional art welcome.
No premade lineart, no re-using old lineart.
Backgrounds may NOT be photo or art stock or re-used to count for points
Shading is not a demand.
Each image only counts once!
Photomanipulations/photo backgrounds do not count for points.
Also! If you draw your horse ref, and then use that same ref to design the tack, you can only count that image once, not twice, since you are re-using the reference.

Art made by others:
Art made by others count as much as art made by yourself, weather it's a gift or purchased images.
Same rules must be followed for this art to count though, as when you draw it yourself.
When a Nordanner is sold, all points are transferred to the new owner.
Import design images can not be counted toward points, since they are made with lineart.

:trophy::trophy: 400 points - Horse is titled Supreme Blood and got unlimited breeding spots BUT!! this is not an option for mutation horses AND owner of this horse must have created at least one hundred points on his own and proof this in kaaring info, so not all art can be created by others.

How to register as Quality Blood
Each horse that gains 15 points and become a registered Quality Blood Nordanner will earn a star next to their name in the ID list, together with a link to their main ref, so other breeders can easely find the best studs/dams. To register the credit points gained, you must:
1. List all valid points with links to proof (images, show records etc) on the main reference in the artist comment.
2. List all show placings, liniage and all other info adding to credit points with proof of them being valid.
3. Calculate the final point score and write this together with all other info about the horse such as gender, ID etc. in a way you find most usefull.
4. Submit all images of your Nordanner into the group gallery folders.

5. Send a NOTE to this group.
6. Title the note "Quality Nordanner".

What do mini-shows/RNG judging count for? Would it still be 3 points for first, 2 for second, etc? Would it also be a +1 in kaaring?

All shows (mini, rng, or regular) count for the same amount of kaaring.
+1 for show +whatever for placement +headshot/fb/animation/whatever

"Submit all images of your Nordanner into the group gallery folders. "
I've read through the rules and didn't see anything saying we couldn't commission art off-site. But maybe I just missed it. What if someone does draw a picture of my Nordanner outside of dA? I could provide links to the artwork and everything else, but not submit them to the group. So those don't get to count for kaaring, I'm guessing? Or I suppose what I'm asking - is there any way around that?

The rule that all art must be submitted to the group to count is very old, and we plan on doing away with it. If you provide links to the art on your horses’ kaaring journals, it will count :)
