Hello all you Nordfaces, your co-pilot Brindle here, giving you guys your basic safety on how to not fall out of the plane -- become banned by Nordanner. Most of these rules were always in place, and just never revealed to the public until it’s too late, so here is a very clear, very public explanation of what not to do.
The process is this:
-1st Offense: You will receive a note from either Cloud or I stating that you have received your warning, a roll-off warning that will drop off your record after two months if you do not have another offense within that time.
-2nd Offense: a Yellow Card, meaning you are now under close watch from the group HIDE YO KIDS HIDE YO WIVES
-3rd Offense: You will receive note from either Cloud or I stating that you have been banned from the group, a Red Card, and your offense(s) to the group. All horses in your possession will be impounded by the group, and those that do not qualify for reclaim will stay with the group and either become group horses, or resold at a later date (if imports) or become Deceased (if bred).
Possible offenses: Breaking Group Rules
Pretty obvious right? Well you’d be surprised how many people do it. We don’t have a lot, so please do try to follow them. If you have any confusion on what counts as breaking the rules, you are encouraged to comment or note with your question on the matter. Disrespecting the Admins
- Now this almost read as ‘arguing and disrespecting the admins’ But, as all members are able to question an admin on a decision or perhaps one of the admins made an error, it is perfectly fine to discuss the issue with the admin, or ask for a second opinion from the founders or another admin. However, continuing to argue with an admin incessantly or refusing to cooperate with an admin is disrespectful and unnecessary.
-Any public disrespect towards any or all admins of Nordanner (hate journals, hate comments, anything public) is an automatic yellow card
. If you have an issue with one of them on a personal level, keep the journal personal, do not involve Nordanner as a group or its administration. The admins are not paid for their work, it is all a volunteer system, nor are they paid to be nice to you. Admins are objective for a reason to avoid being accused of favoritism--or meanness towards other members in reverse.
-Blocking any of the admins is an automatic yellow card. Blocking either of the founders is an automatic red card
. If you block us, we block you, as it’s also not the brightest thinking, because that admin might be the one handling your registrations, and they no longer can touch your horses since you blocked them. Just be smart about this guys. Complaint System
While we are not going to reinstall and reinforce private breeding rules, there are ways to voice your frustration, should something like a purposeful break in contract happen, or a case of harassment or general unnecessary rudeness. If you feel that a certain member is well-deserving* of a complaint, you may submit a note titled “Complaint” to the group for Cloud and I to review. If we feel that that the member is deserving* of a complaint, it will be noted on our private record.
-2 Complaints: Warning
-5 Complaints: Yellow Card
-10 Complaints: Red Card
The best way to avoid complaints is to well, be nice and respectful to everyone. It’s absolutely amazing how rude this breed has made people. By rude I don’t mean someone declining a breeding when you asked for one, I mean downright fighting and cussing each other out. That makes it unfun for everyone else, and if it’s the same people over and over again, we do not wish for them to be a part of this group. If you cannot be nice to someone, say nothing at all, ignore the note/comment and move on with your life.
** Well-deserving means you have tried to settle the dispute or issue and it has either caused a. more problems, or b. the issue is large enough for you to feel the group needs to know about it. Examples of deserving complaints would be: Harassment, name-calling, breach of sales agreement, group rule breaking, common-sense private rule breaking --we will not count the complaint for ridiculous rules, and those are up to our discretion-- Special Cases
Anything that does not fall under the categories above that Cloud and I deem constitutes a warning, yellow card, etc. Special cases does not mean a “ban whoever we want free” card, it just applies to severe situations that need to be dealt with by the group, and cannot be described so easily from the above. The warning system is still in place, so there are still several chances to redeem yourself.
